| Painting | | I like art and the out doors I just picked up a set of paint and started painting. It became real and I thought what if my painting could come alive? What would you paint to make real would it be your own animals you haven't had or even a city that you always want to live in for yourself? If it were me I would pick a fun universe that I could warp into when I feel Bord or just want to get away to. My city would have animals that can talk a awesome mansion I owned with a beautiful stair case you know some would say they would draw a perfect mate I wouldn't because I would meet my man and ask him to fun time off into my world for a get away the magic paint set would have me making lots of great things hours on end if chose to. If he wanted something he could have the painting fun to. We would have a colorful world ex poled into whatever we wanted. | |
| | Over the Couch Painting | | We needed a painting to match the living room. I decided to use the border as a guide and artistic license. It took a while to decide to use the wall paper border and not create my own landscape... it took a couple of years. It's 3 by 4 feet. It's awaiting a frame to made by hubby. It is in it's final resting spot over the couch.
I chose to use oil paints for ths one; it just felt more formal. I had a brand new paint set and brushes. Nothing like the experience of breaking in new art supplies. I don't think I have painted with oils in almost a decade.
I started with a pencil drawing and painting over that in burnt sienna. I tried to capture depth, layout, and light verses dark.
Then I added in the blues and yellows. I wanted to establish the light source. After this I took a couple of weeks off because life just happens that way.
When I got back to painting, I worked on the trees in the background. I tried a paper towel to dab and soften the trees in the back and was very pleased with the atmospheric effect.

For future ones you can show the list (I’d say anonymously) but remember it going to be their call in the end. Pack a picnic for your beloved. Be sure to bring things she likes especially her favorite food. Pick a nice open place to have it, the park would be nice especially if its welcoming. Have your lover close her eyes for a second and listen. Ask her what she hears (hopefully the sound of children;p) Open the basket and take out a blue or white cloth and give it to her. It should have the ring in it... | |
| | I'm Ready To Burn and More Besides! | | I went to my Son's today, together with my Mum, on invite for a Birthday Dinner.My Daughter-In-Law cooked a lovely Roast Pork dinner, with Toffee Pavlova, or Strawberries and Strawberry Milk Jelly for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and then Lauren brought me a card she'd made. She had written the birthday greeting on the top, and drawn a computer monitor with icons on it, lol, and then she'd cut some dimpled silver paper for a keyboard and placed it underneath, and drawn a black mouse, with a wire leading around to the back of the monitor. "Open it" she said, so I opened it, and down dropped all these coloured streamers she'd cut and taped inside. lol. It was quite clever really.Anyway, she then presented me with a gift, which I duly unwrapped... it was my pyrography pen, in a kit with two leather objects to burn on, and three wooden. There were loads of interchangeable tips... fourteen, I think. So, soon I shall be starting to burn my designs. I'm really looking forward to that.Then Di asked me if I wanted to go to Hobbycraft to spend the £10 voucher, which I did, and Lauren joined us. I did quite well from £10... I found a half-price acrylic paint set, at half... | |
